Leadership Style

Identify Your Personal Leadership Style
and Understand How It Affects
How You Work with Others

Which types of people do you work well with, and which types do you often clash with? How would you describe your personal leadership style? One of the keys to effective leadership is self-management, which is built on self-awareness. Are you aware of your own strengths and challenges? Leaders are not people who do not have challenges – in this case there would be no leaders! – but are people who are aware of their challenges and are able to compensate for them.

Building an organizational culture of personal responsibility and honest self-appraisal begins with your own openness and self-awareness. This type of culture is the hallmark of some of the world’s most profitable and successful companies such as GE and Marriott.

In this session, you will learn how to build a culture of authenticity, free information flow and continuous quality improvement into your company or organization – beginning with the person staring back at you in the mirror. With the use of a Harvard Business School video case study, your team will observe two very different kinds of leaders, and use your observations to jump-start insightful discussions about different leadership styles.
